If you really want, you can host your own instance of Nortrom.

Requirements

Installation

  1. Create and access a directory on the host machine:

    mkdir my-nortrom
    cd my-nortrom

  2. Create an application at the Discord Developer Portal.

  3. In the Installation tab, set Installation Contexts to only Guild Install.

  4. In the Installation tab, set Default Install Settings to scopes applications.commands and bot, and permissions to Deafen Members and Mute Members.

  5. In the Bot tab, press Reset Token, and keep the generated string.

  6. Create a compose.yml file in the directory you created with the following contents, replacing the DISCORD_BOT_TOKEN value with the API token you got previously:

    services:
      bot:
        image: g.starshard.space/steffo/nortrom:latest
        restart: unless-stopped

        environment:
          DISCORD_BOT_TOKEN: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.BBBBBB.CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC"

  7. Run the bot:

    docker compose up -d
